Descrizione
Gherardi Hut (1647 m) is easily accessible from Quindicina, a little hamlet in Val Taleggio valley; this hut is therefore recommended for those starting to take their first steps towards the mountains. The paths is easy and the view is panoramic, ranging on the whole valley.
· Rooms for 3, 6 or 9 people and a dormitory with 42 beds.
· Hot showers are available with a charge (and if the availability of water allows it).
· Sale of throwaway bed sheets.
In 1980 the Zogno Section of the Italian Alpine Club (CAI) started to build the hut, which was dedicated to the memory of the member Angelo Gherardi, who perished during a winter ascent to Corno Stella peak, on 29 December 1974. The works were completed in 1987, thanks to the volunteering of the members.
