The peak top was on the border between the Duchy of Milan, the Venetian Republic and the Republic of Graubünden; the Peak can be reached by various itineraries. The one along the Valle d’Inferno (Hell’s Valley) crosses uncontaminated spaces, with frequent sightings of wild ibexes and marmots. The wide panorama from the peak top ranges from the Rhaetian Alps to the Valais, the Monte Rosa and the Matterhorn as well as to the nearest peaks of Lecchesi and Orobiche mountains.
Beyond Ornica center, continue the steep road (parking area) which, at the end of the village, becomes a beautiful mule track (970 m). Climb through woods and meadows along Inferno Valley, passing near Costa hut (1279 m) and Casera hut (1415 m) to the pasture areas of Ciarelli hut (1629 m) and Predoni hut (1800 m). A short stretch ahead, cross a creek and the crossroad of 101 path. Climbing up in a debris valley, you reach the Inferno pass (2306 m). Turn left (southwest direction) and climb on the northeast slope of “Tre Signori” Peak, with stretches on easy rocks and debris (snow in spring time) to the peak top with cross (2554 m).
