Sentiero 107: Ornica - Passo di Salmurano

The path starts near a stone bridge at the entrance of Ornica (930 m) and climbs up in Salmurano Valley along a mule track. Reached the forest, cross the creek on a bridge and go on a steeper slope. Get the base of Giacomo peak and exit the forest, then cross again the creek. Go on northward to cross the 108 path coming from Sciocc hut. Follow climbing with some hairpin bends below the basin of Salmurano pass. Leave on the left the 108 path (leading to Rifugio Benigni) and reach quickly the pass (2017 m).
From the pass you can see the near Rifugio Salmurano, the farer artificial lake of Pescegallo and, at long distance, the tops of the mountains of the lower Valtellina and Val Chiavenna
