Sentiero 233: Gromo - Passo Portula

    Starting points: i) from the small church of Ripa Bassa di Gromo (859 m) free parking area; ii) from Gromo village north skirts (around 700m). Form Ripa Bassa heading to north, the path follows partially a forest road and a mule track, crosses an area with huts and meadows up to around 1200 m. Here you enter a dense forest. Follow the path passing near Nedulo hut (1487 m), then you find the crossroad with the 261 path (at 1626 m) coming from Gromo S. Marino and, just beyond, the crossroad with the 233A path -Cardeto Lakes round trip. Cross the flat and wide basin of Cardeto and then climb again finding on the right the crossroad with 256 path leading to Grabiasca Valley and then the huts “of Monte Cardeto “(at 1856 m middle hut; at 1940 m upper hut) and, to the left, again the crossroad with the 233A path part of round trip of Cardeto Lakes). The path rises northward and then westward, on the southern slope of Mount Reseda, headin gto  Portula Pass (2278 m - crossroad with 226 trail leading to Rifugio Calvi (Hut) and 230 path leading to Rifugio Baita Cernello).
