Sentiero 309: Gandellino - Lago Spigorel

From Tezzi Alti place (969 m, reachable from Gandellino), take Sedornia valley by a forest road that first climbs along huts and pastures and then entering a dense forest of firs. You get to Cappella di S. Carlo chapel (1163 m), then cross the stream and cross path n° 313, coming from Boario.  Continue along the forest road that climbs uphill through the meadows of "Stalle Prato di Vigna" place and that (at an altitude of about 1350 m) turns sharply right (south) into the woods. After about 400 m, in the vicinity of a valley, leave the road and take the path on the left that goes up northwards and that reaches - now through meadows and woods - first Baita Bassa Vigna Vaga hut (1507 m) and then Baita di Mezzo Vigna Vaga hut (1660 m). Continue the ascent in a more open environment, reach Spigorel lake (1821 m, also called “di Vigna Vaga” lake) and, continuing towards Mount Barbarossa, you cross path n° 401 at an altitude of about 2000 m.
