Last stage of the “ring variant” of SENTIERO DELLE OROBIE CENTRO-ORIENTALI / CENTRAL-EASTERN OROBIE TRAIL, leading to Ardesio.
Leave Albani Hut, go up path n° 401 and shortly reach Scagnello Pass (2080 m), from which one begins to descend into Valzurio valley. After lowering approximately 800 meters in altitude and entering the forest, follow the forest road leading to “Baite del Möschel” huts (1265 m). Now leave the forest road , turn right and go up for a few minutes until to reach the junction with path n° 314. Now leave the 314 on the right and follow path n° 311 instead, which now alternates stretches of light uphill, downhill and flat for about one hour of walking. Then the path crosses a forest road which soon leads to Colle Palazzo place (1300 m), an area of wide meadows and numerous huts, located between Valzurio valley and Rino torrent valley. Now you start to descend such valley, first by path and then along a forest road which crosses the stream (by a ford, about 1000 m) and goes up a little near Ave village. You continue to descend along the paved road that again crosses the stream - this time by a bridge - and, after a short climb and a new descent, you enter in Piazzolo village (780 m). We are almost at the end of the road: now it is necessary to follow the paved road (it is a road with little traffic) that quickly leads to Ardesio.

Note
Until 2014, the original route ran from Möschel huts to Albani Hut. The stretch from Ardesio to Möschel huts was added with the “ring variant” of Sentiero delle Orobie Centro-Orientali / Central-Eastern Orobie Trail. Regarding the first part (from Ardesio to Valcanale) of such “ring variant”, it is planned to put in place the vertical signs within the first week of July (2015).
