From “della Croce” Pass (1953 m - reachable from Foppolo by paths 204 or 205) walk eastward and then southward. Keeping the same height you make a wide tour of the upper part of the Carisole basin. Passed the chairlift stations, the trail climbs briefly to the ridge (2110 m) overlooking the Brembo river valley. After a short downhill walk, enter the Sambuzza Valley and, after crossing the creek (1850 m), you meet the 209 path; follow it to the Rifugio”baita Casera” in Sambuzza Valley(1738 m). Going eastward and staying at same level take the forest road that reaches the cart track leading to the Rifugio Longo. Walk about 400 meters downhill on this road leading to “del Prato” Lake till the crossroad on the left with forest road that rises to Baita Armentarga (1770 m). Cross the Brembo River and climb steeply in the wood till the “Costa della Mersa” hut (1886 m), then continue eastward reaching Rotondo Lake and Rifugio Calvi (Hut) (2006 m).

Note
Since September 2016, the path has been altered due to the impossibility to keep walkable some stretch that have been abandoned and replaced with other existing ones. Please, watch the signs put to mark the new track.
Warning: the 208 path no longer transits near Rifugio Baitone but it stays at higher level on the forest road that climbs to Rifugio Longo. In addition, the track stretch from the “del Prato” Lake to “Costa della Mersa” hut is not used anymore. Now you must follow the road on the opposite valley side leading to Armentarga hut.
