ANTONIO CURO’ NATURALISTIC TRAIL
From Vivione Pass (1828 m - reached by car from Schilpario) just near the chalet, take a dirt road on the left (tables and signposts), leading to Gaffione hut (1825 m). Before to reach the hut, take the path on the right and climb upstream the valley to Valbona lake(2055 m). Go ahead beyond the lake and climb the slope of Valbona, The path, with constant slant and wide hairpin bends, reaches “del Gatto” pass (2416 m). After the pass, the path goes downhill to “San Carlo” lakes. Going ahead you reach the plain of the Venerocolo lakes and then the Venerocolo pass (2314 m – crossroad with 414 path). The next stretch is the most demanding of the trail: climb up to Demignone pass (2485 m) and then, on an exposed stretch (some handrail chains) go downhill to Vò pass (2368 m). Following the watershed reach the Venano pass and, near it, the Rifugio Nani Tagliaferri (2328 m)
