Leave Curò Hut (1915 m), and walk along the artificial lake of Barbellino, following the easy muletrack that crosses the Valcerviera valley outlet (path n° 321), the “del Trobio” valley outlet and goes up the Serio river valley towards the natural Barbellino lake. Path n° 310 comes off on the left at an altitude of about 2050 m (after passing a bridge) and goes up the valley that descends from the “di Malgina” lake, now on the right side, now on the left, with numerous turns. You get to “di Malgina” lake (2340 m), cross the emissary stream again and leave on the left the path 335 that goes up to “del Bondone” Pass. Go up along the eastern slope above the lake and reach the plains where Gelt lake (2560 m) - and other numerous little ponds - are located. Continuing always eastwards and point to a steep couloir - by debris and with boulders - that climbs with difficulty until to reach “del lago Gelt” notch (2727 m). Always with turns, descend the steep slope that overlooks the wide saddle of “di Caronella” Pass (2612 m).
