CENTRAL-EASTERN OROBIE TRAIL  /  SENTIERO DELLE OROBIE CENTRO-ORIENTALI

From Coca Refuge (1892 m) go down for a short distance towards Valbondione until to the bridge and cross the stream. Leave path 301 descending to the valley, go up on the left, and climb the grassy coast, gaining altitude until intercepting the Polledrino valley (about 2150 m). The path goes along the hillside, crosses some small valleys and, after some ups and downs, arrives at Corno Pass (2220 m). It descends slightly and, crossing very steep slopes, one arrives at the base of a debris channel – you have to climb up to the small plateau above (some short stretches equipped by chains). It continues along the hillside to the Sponda Arsena (about 2350 m) until the Valmorta valley appears below. Then, through a series of switchbacks, quickly lose altitude until the small reservoir below (Valmorta’s modulation basin - 1798 m) close to the large dam on the Barbellino’s basin. Rise to the house of the guardians and - along a short section of the Barbellino’s Basin - you arrive at the Curò Refuge (1915 m), finally.
